Qatar Airways (Doha) is planning to add seven new routes to Perth, Helsinki, Zagreb, Gassim (Saudi Arabia), Zanzibar, Kigali and Mombasa.
All seven new routes will be launched over the next few months. They will join previously announced new destinations of Baku and Tbilisi, the capital cities of Azerbaijan and Georgia, respectively, which are will become part of Qatar Airways’ family of routes from February 1, 2012.
One of the fastest-growing airlines in the world, Qatar Airways has orders worth over $ 45 billion for more than 250 aircraft, including Boeing 787s, 777s, Airbus A350s, A380s, A320 Family of aircraft and Bombardier corporate jets.
The rapid expansion of Qatar Airways has prompted the State of Qatar to embark on one of its biggest projects – the construction of a brand new international airport in Doha, which is scheduled to open in 2012.
